This installation is a collection of work that pays tribute to the hazel woods in the Burren, Ireland. Made during my second year in my MFA in Art and Ecology in the Burren College of Art, I decided to explore the local ecosystems along with the comfort and solace that they bring to me. It is important during tumultuous times to find ways to ground yourself.

This installation consists of drypoint intaglio prints, miniature drawings, hand-sculpted porcelain fungi, embroidery clusters, and actual lichen, fungi, and hazel seed pods. I provided a tufted bench for the ability to comfortably view the display of works.
